Color With Design

This project focused on a constant palette transformed into 6 different designs. The below palette of ten colors is what is most representative of myself as a person. As you look at the project you will see every single color being used either as-is, with opacity changes, or with the darkening tool. Scroll down to view.
Below Piece: "Fragment"
"Fragment"
This piece combines six small works depicting a person, and the rest depicting five different earth environments. As natural objects, humans are literally a part of the environment around them. Containing some of the same building blocks, we have part of ourselves among the earth. The six series all include a face of some sort hidden among the landscape, representing the existence of the human among the same environment. Fragmented into parts, the face at the top is aware of their surroundings, and where they stand. It is the collection of all of these parts, collectively, that make up our own self.

Below: Pop Art Self-Portraits
Prior to the above works, it was asked of the class to represent themselves through their palettes, using a simplistic, pop art style. From this pop art came the idea to make a common collage. However, instead of fragments containing different variations of the same colors, I wanted to connect these fragments in a more meaningful way.
